Monistat for Hair Growth?

I am kinda crazy about my hair. Growing up with very bad haircuts, thick, curly, super dry hair I had no idea how to tame- it makes sense why I go to extreme measures to get it to look nice. I'm sure I will have many hair blogs on here. That being said, I am not a big fan of chemical treatments (well except dye lol), etc and I do like my natural curls. It took me years to learn to love and appreciate them, and though one can argue I look better with it straight, I like the uniqueness of my waves- when styled correctly.

However, my hair does split end like crazy and I always have a hard time getting it to grow nice & long like I want it to. One of the shampoo bars I mutanted together is made for hair growth, I do masques and treatments for hair growth weekly and eat a "happy hair" rich diet as I'll call it.

Recently in internet world, I found a message board forum on, and then further investigated information on Monistat (yes, the yeast infection cream) for hair growth. WHAT!?!?! At first, I thought "weird" but continued to read success stories. Wanting mermaid long hair since I was 15 (the last time it last a nice long, healthy length) I went to the store and got me some Monsistat.
Funny side store: The grocery store didn't have it. But that didn't stop 4 middle age-ish male grocery store employees from looking for it, yelling back and forth to each other: "where the monistat at?" "what's that for?" "yeast infection" "this girl wants it so her hair will grow" "huh??" It was absolutely a classic moment and I was dying of laughter every second. Went to a drugstore and found the (cheaper, generic version with the same active ingredient) of the stuff.

So last night I applied the monistat on my scalp for the first time on cleanly washed hair. It didn't smell- YAY. I didn't have any bad reactions- which was a relief. I read some people got headaches from it, and I am headache prone, but it's a chance I was willing to take if it meant my hair will grow. Since my hair is super dry by nature, it didn't even make it really greasy, but my hair looks more moisturized.

Obviously, I just applied it once so I can't say "oh my hair grew like a weed overnight" But my initial reactions are positive. Will keep updated on the hair growth, I plan to use this 2-3 times a week on freshly washed hair as a leave in. I have hopes it will work, and really nothing to lose if it doesn't so fingers are crossed.

so i've had blogs before, but they were usually specific to a category.
i have a private blog, that's more like a diary.
but...i have a lot of stuff on my mind, i try stuff, i like stuff and i like to share things i learn and my honest opinions.

it will probably read a lot about beauty, fitness, food, things a 25 year old in a qurater life crisis thinks, etc.etc...
